Get familiar with auto-updates [Software &amp; Updates, Software Center]<br \/><strong>sudo apt update &amp;&amp; sudo apt upgrade<\/strong><\/li><li>Install applications of your choice from the software center, mainly Programming IDEs\/Editors, because Content Creation Apps are come preinstalled already in\u00a0Ubuntu Studio.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/linuxconfig.org\/things-to-install-on-ubuntu-20-04\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/linuxconfig.org\/things-to-install-on-ubuntu-20-04<\/a>\u00a0<br \/>[ <strong>COMPLETE GUIDE<\/strong> FOR MANY-MANY SOFTWARE Apps INSTALLATION ]<\/li><li>Give your Ubuntu OS a different color <strong>[ Settings > Appearance ]<\/strong><\/li><li>Get familiar with the new screenshot tool. [ When you press the Print Screen button to take the screenshot, it opens the UI and gives you the option to take the screenshot of the selected area, entire screen, or current application window. ]<\/li><li>Know about cleaning your system. Ubuntu Studio&nbsp;&#8211; Linux:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubuntustudio.org\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"www.ubuntustudio.org\">www.ubuntustudio.org<\/a> for current-old users of Ubuntu Studio 20.04, about the upgrade to all new Ubuntu Studio 22.04 LTS, <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>NOT<\/strong> <\/mark>TO DO SO\u2026 BUT <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">DO INSTEAD A CLEAN INSTALL OF 22.04<\/mark><\/strong>!!!<br \/><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ubuntustudio.org\/2022\/04\/ubuntu-studio-22-04-lts-released\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/ubuntustudio.org\/2022\/04\/ubuntu-studio-22-04-lts-released\/<\/a>  &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-055f2dc1-3f52-4dcc-8956-3b3060bce44a\">Upgrading<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Since it\u2019s just out, you may experience some issues, so you might want to wait a bit before upgrading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the change in the desktop environment that started after the release of 20.04 LTS,&nbsp;<strong>direct upgrades from 20.04 LTS are not supported and may only be attempted at-your-own-risk.&nbsp;<\/strong>As with any system-critical operation,&nbsp;<strong>back-up your data&nbsp;<\/strong>before attempting any upgrade. <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">The safest upgrade path is a backup of your \/home directory and a clean install.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">We have had anecdotal reports of successful upgrades from 20.04 LTS (<strong>Xfce <\/strong>desktop) to later releases (<strong>Plasma <\/strong>desktop), but this will remain\u00a0<strong>at your own risk<\/strong>, and it is <\/mark><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">highly recommended to wait until 22.04.1 is released in August before attempting such an upgrade.<\/mark><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions for upgrading are included in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntustudio.org\/ubuntu-studio-22-04-lts-release-notes\/\">release notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Personally<\/strong>, I <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">did a clean install of Ubuntu <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Studio<\/span> 22.04 in VMware Workstation Pro 15<\/mark><\/strong> &#8211;
